Darya Domracheva named first Star Ambassador of Minsk 2019

Darya Domracheva is announced as the fisrt European Games Minsk 2019 Star Ambassador.

The Directorate of the II European Games 2019 in Minsk set up the project “Star Ambassador”. The first certificate was awarded to Hero of Belarus, four-time Games champion in biathlon Darya Domracheva in the Hall of Olympic Fame of the NOC Belarus HQ.

“Since Sochi 2014 Belarus has been associated with Darya Domracheva’s name, and vice versa. The team of Ambassadors headed by such a splendid leader will obviously achieve their goals. Now it is impossible to find more outstanding Belarusian athlete than her”, said Director of Minsk 2019 George Katulin.

Star Ambassadors are titans of sport, culture and art, or living examples that Belarus is rich in talented people. Their essential task is to foster positive image of the II European Games and attract of public attention. Star Ambassadors not only promote the Minsk 2019 brand, but Belarus itself.

The next Star Ambassador certificate will be awarded in Moscow to Zapashny brothers.

According to Domracheva, future projects involving Star Ambassadors have already been discussed.
