
Belarusian Angelina Shastak won a gold medal in the 1000m time trial at the 2026 UEC Track Juniors and U23 European Championships.
Her path to the title began in the qualifying round, where Angelina Shastak ranked seventh among 23 competitors. However, in the finals, the Belarusian athlete showcased outstanding speed, clocking 1:09.502. This performance allowed Angelina to edge out silver medalist Maya Ferrante of Italy by 0.3 seconds. Belgium’s Jana Gevers rounded out the top three.
This medal became the second for Angelina Shastak at the European Junior Championships. Earlier, the athlete had already reached the podium, clinching a bronze medal in the sprint.
