Belarus Hockey Federation held a regular reporting and election conference on 10 July to discuss the key achievements of the past year and outline the strategic goals for the future.

Beyond the planned leadership elections, the key issue on the table was the reinstatement of Belarusian hockey on the international scene. The delegates expressed cautious optimism and confirmed the readiness of Belarusian clubs and national teams to compete on the world stage as soon as the political barriers are lifted.

The positive domestic trend received special attention. A significant uptick in spectator interest in national competitions was named one of the year’s standout achievements. Ice arena attendance is on the rise, reflecting a restoration of fan confidence.

For the first time, the conference featured an in-depth discussion on the prospects and systemic development of women’s hockey, which is set to receive additional support. The conference also tackled other pressing issues, from club operations to talent pipeline development. The season kicks off on an upbeat note; the federation and its teams are fully prepared.
