
He stressed that today marks a celebration of unity, understanding, and the power of sport.
“The main goal of International Olympic Day is to remind us that sport, physical education, and a healthy lifestyle are important for each and every one of us - from professionals who have dedicated their lives to sport, to fans and enthusiasts whose daily lives are filled with energy, becoming brighter and more active thanks to sport.”
Viktor Lukashenko noted that today Belarus is not just returning to international sport, it continues to assert itself as a strong, self-sufficient sporting nation whose voice cannot be ignored and whose achievements command respect.
“In recent years, every medal and every record set hold special value, as they have been earned under difficult conditions of unprecedented pressure, which we are successfully overcoming, continuing to move forward with confidence.
Today, our generation builds on the rich traditions of the Belarusian coaching school and is raising a new generation of champions ready to take up the baton and add to the glory of our national sport.
We are one Olympic family! By staying true to ourselves, to Olympic ideals and principles, we always remain at the forefront of the global Olympic movement.”
