Victory over Switzerland: Belarus in Euro Beach Soccer League Top 3

In the third-place match of the qualification tournament in Spain, Belarus defeated Switzerland, 6-4. Ihar Bryshtsel scored a hat-trick for the Belarusian team, with additional goals from Artsemi Drozd and goalkeeper Uladzimir Ustsinovich, while the Swiss also contributed an own goal.

In the first stage of the tournament, Nicolas Alvarado’s team finished second in preliminary Group B, thrashing Turkiye (10-2) and the Czech Republic (8-3) while falling to Portugal (4-5). In the semifinals, Belarus lost to the hosts, Spain (4-6).

In early August, qualification tournaments will be held in Chișinău for Group C (Italy, France, Moldova, Romania) and Group D (Ukraine, Estonia, Germany, Denmark).

Once the matches in the Moldovan capital are complete, the eight participants in the Superfinal will be determined. The Superfinal is scheduled to take place in Viareggio, Italy on 8-13 September.

Last year, Belarus claimed bronze in the Euro League Superfinal for the third consecutive year. In 2021, they were silver medalists in the continent’s premier tournament. At the 2025 World Cup, the Belarusian national team earned silver medals, losing to Brazil in the final. One year ago in the Euro League final, Italy defeated Spain to claim their fourth title.
