That victory had no influence on the Belarusians’ tournament standing. Earlier they had been beaten by Italy (0:3) and Belgium (1:3) and appeared 3rd in Group D that didn’t let Belarus compete for a ticket to the World Championship. Nadzeya Malasai scored as many as 25 points and became the most resultative player of the game.

Italy won Belgium in fight for the right to play at the World Championship 2018 in Japan.

Group D final standings: Italy – 5 victories (15 points/5 matches), Belgium – 4 (12/5), Belarus – 3 (8/5), Spain – 2 (5/5), Bosnia and Herzegovina – 1 (5/5), Latvia – 0 (5/5).
