Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus wins Australian Open title
Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka won her first Grand Slam title by defeating Elena Rybakina 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the Australian Open final. 

The match was decided with Sabalenka taking her opponent’s serve in the third set at 3-3.

That was the second Grand Slam final for Sabalenka’s opponent after her triumph at Wimbledon 2022. For Aryna Sabalenka it was the first Grand Slam final in her career.

According to experts, it was a great final in the Grand Slam women's singles. Rybakina and Sabalenka were both in great shape. Both serving huge, they have practically no weak sides in their game. In the final against Rybakina, the best Belarusian tennis player posted 17 aces and made 7 double faults. The match lasted for two hours and 28 minutes. 

The 24-year-old Aryna Sabalenka became the second Belarusian to win the Australian Open singles. Before her, Victoria Azarenka did it twice: in 2012 and 2013. 

Thanks to her superb performance in Melbourne, Aryna Sabalenka returned to her career-high ranking of No.2. Congratulations! 

For Sabalenka this is the second tournament she has won in 2023. She was also victorious in Adelaide.
