Today young Belarusian athletes have started off for Lillehammer, says the NOC Media Centre.

February 10 the sports delegation has left for the Youth Olympic Games in Norway.





Over a thousand athletes, aged 15 - 18, who represent 70 countries, will participate in 15 events. In addition, with the help of a variety of fun and interactive activities the athletes will have the opportunity to learn about the Olympic values and to explore other cultures and develop skills to become a true ambassador for the sport.
16 Belarusian sportsmen (8 men and 8 women) will compete in 7 events: biathlon, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, speed skating, snowboarding (slopestyle), skating (ice dance), ice hockey (individual skill)
Besides, at the invitation of the IOC a young ambassador, Anastasia Lesik, and a young reporter, Polina Golovina (Ignatenko), will represent the Republic of Belarus in Lillehammer.
