
President of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee Viktor Lukashenko visited Armenia at the invitation of his counterpart, the head of Armenia’s National Olympic Committee Gagik Tsarukyan and held talks with Armenian colleagues about ways of expanding cooperation.

The Belarusian delegation toured the Olympavan sports complex and got familiar with the athletes training programs, accommodation and nutrition. The parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties between the Olympic committees and exchanging experience in sport. In particular, Belarus and Armenia agreed to continue the practice of joint training camps on the territory of the two countries.
Gagik Tsarukyan honored Viktor Lukashenko with the Order of the NOC of Armenia for the services to the development and support of Olympic values and as a sign of gratitude.
In Yerevan the president of the Belarusian NOC also met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Aleksandr Konyuk to discuss the cooperation between the two countries in sport.
