The results of the Belarusian athletes performance at the XXIII Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.

Alpine Skiing

Today Belarus’ Maria Shkanova and Yury Danilachkin participated in women’s slalom and men’s super-G, respectively.

Following the results of two runs, Maria Shkanova placed 28th in 1:44.21  (+5.58).

Swede Frida Hansdotter topped the victory podium (1:38.63) 0.05sec prior to Swiss silver medalist Wendy Holdener and 0.32sec before Austria’s Katharina Gallhubber.

Yury Danilachkin resulted 42nd in super-G in 1:30.13min 5.69sec behind triumphant Austrian Matthias Mayer. The silver and bronze awards were taken by Swiss Beat Feuz (+0.13) and Norwegian Kjetil Jansrud (+0.18).

Cross-Country Skiing

Michail Semenov of Belarus was 40th to cross the finish line in 36:25.8 and +2:41.9 back to the winner of the 15km race.

Yury Astapenka followed him with 55th result (+3:20.1) and Aleksandr Voronov came in 73rd (+4:21.6).

Speed Skating 

Maryna Zuyeva of Belarus took 7th place in the ladies' 5,000m speed skating event.

The Belarusian athlete finished in 7:04:41 in the longest Olympic speed skating distance for women. 

The Olympic debutant has certainly made some progress in Pyeongchang: she was 11th in the 3,000m speed skating and was disqualified after the 1,500m event. Today Maryna Zuyeva finished 14:18 behind the leader, Esmee Visser (Netherlands), who clocked 6:50:23. 

Defending champion Martina Sablikova of Czechia claimed silver (1:62 behind). Third place went to Russia's Natalia Voronina (3:75 behind). 

Freestyle Aerials

Hanna Huskova ensured that the women's Olympic aerials title returned to Belarus, after she produced a gold-medal winning performance in the six-strong super-final at PyeongChang 2018 on 16 February.

After final was whittled down from 20 to just six competitors, Huskova produced her best performance of the three-stage final as she scored 96.14 to see off the dual challenge of China’s Zhang Xin (95.52) and Kong Fanyu (70.14), who took silver and bronze medal positions respectively.

Huskova’s compatriot and defending champion Alla Tsuper struggled to replicate her stunning performance at Sochi 2014 when it mattered most and could only finish fourth (59.94).
