Kadzimahamedau wins Men’s Wrestling silver at 2020 Tokyo

Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau of Belarus lost to Russia’s Zaurbek Sidakov in the Men’s Freestyle 74kg final.

The Belarusian wrestler missed a move in the middle of the bout and could not retake the advantage. The national wrestling team said that the silver medal is the result of hard work. Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau did really well at the Olympic tournament.

This is the second silver medal for Belarus at the Olympic wrestling tournament in Tokyo.

NOC President Viktor Lukashenko congratulated the athlete on the well-deserved success.

“Belarus was rooting for you throughout your entire Olympic campaign. With your every win over strong rivals, our confidence in your overall success at the Games grew stronger. This silver medal crowns many years of hard work. Together with the coaching staff of the national team, you have reached such a high point in your career as the Olympic podium.
