The Olympic champion of the Sochi 2014 in freestyle skiing Anton Kushnir topped the standings of the FIS WC 2016/2017 Lake Placid stage in the USA.

Kushnir gained as much as 120,36 points, having left behind Mac Bohonnon from the USA (119,46) and Russian Maxim Burov (107,32).
Two more Belarusians managed to break into the final, since Stanislav Gkadchenko occupied the 7th position (107,73) and Maksim Gustik placed 9th (86,73). Artsiom Bashlakou tumbled out of the final competitions, as he finished 21st (82,48).
Kushnir came atop the World Cup standings (208). Guangpu Qi goes second (180), Gustik’s third (129).
Aliaksandra Ramanouskay proved best of the Belarusian women’s team. She stands 8th in the ranking (80,32). Hanna Huskova scored 49,14 and placed 26th. USA's Ashley Caldwell won the women's competition in Lake Placid with the total of 99.63 points. Danielle Scott of Australia finished second (92 points). Russia's Kristina Spiridonova claimed bronze (81.27).
