Today on February 17 the Belarusian hockey squad played with the team of Russia in the final match of the European Youth Olympic Festival 2017 in Erzurum.

Both team had no lost matches in their way to the decisive game. Uladzimir Mahdzeyeu’s team beat Slovaks in the qualification (3:1), then they crashed the French team (2:1). Russians defeated Turks with an unprecedented score of 42:0, passed through French rivals (9:0) to the semis where they overwhelmed Slovaks (4:1).

Today’s game ended in favour of Russians. They won a gold with a score of 7:1.
The rivals opened the goal score in the first period, later on they kicked another pack. However, by the break Belarus pulled a goal back (2:1).
At the beginning of the next round Russians made a third successful shot in the Belarusian net (3:1).
Four more packs appeared in the Belarusian net during the last period, thus making Russia the winner of the EYOF ice hockey tournament.
