Belarusian skier Yulia Tikhonova came first in sprint of the Eastern Europe Cup stage in Raubichi.

Tikhonova finished ahead of two athletes from Russia Natalia Ilyina and Maria Davydenkova. Concerning the men’s sprint, the victory podium was mounted exclusively by Russian skiers Andrey Parfenov, Andrey Feller and Nikita Stupak. The fourth place went to Belarusian Mikhail Kuklin. The Raubichi stage of the Eastern Europe Cup ends on January 15 with Women’s 10K and Men’s 15K Freestyle.

It is the fourth Cup stage, three more are scheduled for February. The leaders of the overall ranking will secure the right to perform out of quotas in the following season of the World Cup.

The Raubichi stage was arranged by the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, NOC Belarus, Belarusian Ski Union, Belarusian Skiing and Snowboard Federation, Minsk Region Executive Committee and Minsk City Executive Committee.
