There will be 75 medal sets to be awarded to the winners and medalists: 42 in swimming, 13 in diving, 9 in synchronized swimming, 7 in open water and 2 in water polo and high diving each.

Budapest had been given the right to host the championship following denial of Mexican Guadalajara for economic reasons, and it has taken 1,5 years to establish the international swimming center “Dagály Swimming Complex” – the biggest aquatics complex in Hungary and one of the largest in Eastern Europe. There are three 50-meter long pools, two of which are destined for the competitions and one is for warm-up exercises.

Swimmers and divers will compete in walls of the swimming center, the rest of the national teams squads will contend outdoors.

Belarus features 29 athletes in 4 disciplines: swimming, synchronized swimming, diving and high diving.

At the last tournament in 2015 Kazan there were 24 Belarus’ athletes competing for medals, but only Yana Nestserava scored a bronze in high diving.
