The third final for Sabalenka in Madrid

World number two ranking Aryna Sabalenka beat Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan and reached the final of the WTA-1000 tournament in Madrid.

In 1/2 of the final, the Belarusian conceded the start of the match, but then seized the initiative and was able to win in three sets – 1:6, 7:5, 7:6.

In the final, Aryna Sabalenka, the second racket of the world, will play, in Saturday May 4, with Iga Swiatek from Poland, who occupies the first place in the world ranking.

Aryna Sabalenka is a two-time winner of the Madrid tournament. In 2023, she was stronger than Swiatek in the decisive game, and in 2021 she beat Ashleigh Barty from Australia.

– I'm looking forward to the finale. We have already played a lot of interesting matches with Swiatek and, I am sure, the upcoming one will also be good for the audience. Last year, after winning in Madrid, I would like to note that it was one of the best matches of my career on clay courts, – Aryna Sabalenka said.
