Today on August 18 Belarusian canoeist Maryna Litvinchuk has got the 4th position in Women’s Kayak Single 500m Final A, according to the NOC of Belarus.

Half a distance Maryna was heading the heat, but the last 250m she could not preserve her leadership and took the 4th place (1:54.474). The silver and bronze medalists were defined through photofinish, as well as Maryna’s results.

It is her highest personal achievement in such distance.
Hungarian Danuta Kozak won a gold medal (1:52.494), Emma Jorgensen took a silver (1:54.326), the bronze medalist became Liza Carrington (1:54.372).
“I was eager to win a medal in the final, but I slackened by the finish line. Now I’ll make up my mind for Kayak Four and try best to win it”, - she said after the heat.

Now the National Team counts 5 awards: a gold medal (U. Hancharou, Trampoline), two silver (D. Naumava and V. Straltsou, Weightlifting) and two bronze ones (A. Herasimenia, Swimming; Javid Hamzatau, Wrestling Greco-Roman).
