Regarding the statements of the IOC Executive Board of 25 January 2023 and the Olympic Council of Asia

The National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus welcomes the International Olympic Committee to resolve the situation on the admission of Belarusian athletes to participate in international competitions.

We consider the statement of the IOC Executive Board published on January 25 as a way to find a compromise and look forward to concrete solutions  for further discussion.

Meanwhile, the NOC of Belarus stands for the removal of all restrictions not only in relation to Belarusian and Russian athletes in order to comply with the principle of equality and non-discrimination, but also for the Republic of Belarus in general.

At the same time, the NOC of Belarus expresses its gratitude to the Olympic Council of Asia for its support and the offer to compete under the auspices of this organization in the qualifying tournaments for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
