Opening of the 3rd CIS Games in Ganja

The opening ceremony of the 3rd CIS Games took place in Ganja, Republic of Azerbaijan.

Taekwondo athlete Yulia Vitko and swimmer Maksim Malyshko carried our country's flag into the stadium.

The Belarusian delegation for the upcoming competitions included 241 athletes in 21 sports.

The 3rd CIS Games will be held through October 8 in seven cities of Azerbaijan: Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, and Khankendi.

The first medals have already been awarded in swimming and table tennis.

This large-scale sports forum was first held in Kazan in 2021. In 2023, cities across Belarus hosted the Games, with the spectacular opening and closing ceremonies taking place at the Minsk Arena.
