Olympic Atlas presented in BelExpo

On 15 March, the general audience publication Olympic Atlas, a project of the NOC of Belarus and the Belarusian Olympic Academy, was presented in the BelExpo exhibition center within the framework of the 31st Minsk International Book Fair.

"The book walks through the Olympic movement, the history of modern sports in the world and Belarus. It also tells interesting stories of athletes who boldly go forward towards victories, overcoming themselves and circumstances," said Ksenia Sankovich, Secretary General of the NOC of Belarus, two-time Olympic medalist. "It is important that the publication will be donated to various institutions with the support of regional sport and tourism departments, regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee.

Natalia Aponchuk, director of the Belarusian Olympic Academy, said:
"The book will be an excellent guide to help teachers prepare students for the Olympiad in the subject ‘Physical Education and Health’’. It will also prove useful in conducting Olympic Lessons which have been growing more popular in schools in our country."

The School of the Young Olympian, a book project of the Olympic Academy, received the first degree diploma of the Art of the Book national competition in the Science and Knowledge nomination.
