Official announcement on withdrawing of Krystsina Tsimanouskaya from 2020 Tokyo Olympics

The coaching staff of the national athletics team decided to withdraw Krystsina Tsimanouskaya from the Games of the XXXII Olympiad regarding her emotional and psychological state. Consequently, the athlete's application for the 200m and 4x400m relay qualifying races was recalled.

NOC Belarus is closely monitoring the situation and is working in close contact with the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee and the International Olympic Committee.

We emphasize that in accordance with the NOC Charter and the Olympic Charter, the NOC Belarus shall continue to defend and protect the interests of all Belarusian athletes from any forms of discrimination, if any.
