
On June 23, the competitions in athletics at the 2nd European Games finally kicked off. On the first day of the competition, athletes were to compete in 9 medal events in individual disciplines.
The Belarusian hurdler Elvira German finished first in 100 meters’ hurdles with a time of 12.89 seconds, showing the best results time. Elvira outperformed the Ukrainian athlete Anna Plotitsyna (13.14) and the Hungarian athlete Greta Kerekes (13.16).
