Mascot, logo and slogan of the II CIS Games-2023 presented in Minsk

On March 13, the Organizing Committee approved the proposed sketches of the mascot, logo and slogan of the II CIS Games-2023.

The logo reflects a number of elements characteristic of Belarus. In the dynamic stylization of the logo, the cornflower flower acts as a symbol of hospitality and friendliness, it is dominated by blue and cornflower blue colors. Along the edges of the logo, you can also see red, black, green and yellow petals – the colors of the world Olympic movement.

The approved slogan of the II Games of the CIS countries. It sounds like: "A strong character is a bright game!" and in a short, succinct form conveys the main goal of the Games. "The triumph of sports is the moment of a bright game. This moment is impossible without the presence of a strong character and the will to win," said Vitaly Ostrovsky, head of the marketing Department of the NOC of Belarus.

The mascot of the Games is an original Belarusian lynx named Rysia. "In heraldry, the lynx is always described as an agile and fast animal, possessing intelligence and a sharp mind - all qualities that are ideal for a sports mascot. If you look in more detail, you can see the patterns on the lynx's body are made in the style of "little dyvanoy", inspired by the artist Alyona Kish," Vitaly Ostrovsky added.

The meeting also presented a 3D model of a character for making souvenirs, variants of banners and merch with a logo.

II Games of the CIS countries from August 3 to 15 in Belarus, about 3 thousand athletes are expected to participate. The competition program includes competitions in 20 sports. The first CIS Games were held in Kazan in 2021. Then Belarus became the fifth in the medal standings, having won 69 medals.
