Maryna Litvinchuk awarded honorary badge of NOC of Belarus

The General Assembly concluded on 24 March with an significant occasion. Maryna Litvinchuk, silver medalist of the 2012 and 2021 Olympic Games and bronze medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games in canoe sprint, made the decision to retire from sport.

“Please accept words of sincere gratitude for your many years of hard work and will to win. Your Olympic medals and triumphs on the international stage are forever inscribed in the history of our sport,” Viktor Lukashenko noted.

In recognition of the athlete’s high sporting achievements, great contribution to the development of the Olympic movement, mass sports, and elite sports, the Executive Board of the National Olympic Committee decided to award Maryna Litvinchuk with the NOC Honorary Badge “For Merits in the Development of the Olympic Movement in the Republic of Belarus.”

“I would like to express words of gratitude to our sports leader, the esteemed President Aleksandr Lukashenko. He supports sports from children’s to veteran levels. I would also like to thank NOC leader Viktor Lukashenko for his care for every athlete. My special words of gratitude also go to the Sports Ministry of, the National Center for Sports Training, and all the fans who were there for me. This has been a long and challenging journey for me,” Maryna Litvinchuk said.
