The colorful ice show “In Search of the Christmas Star” took place at Olympic Arena.
Head of the Belarusian NOC Viktor Lukashenko opened the event and congratulated the children on the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.
“We are happy to welcome you to our Olympic New Year Tree show in the run-up to the Christmas and the New Year celebrations. Right now is the magical time when we all get into a festive mood, when we want to believe in fairy tales, and of course, to have our wishes come true. May this day, may this evening bring you much joy, smiles, good cheer, and of course, the fulfillment of those wishes. But remember, for a wish to come true, you must put in considerable effort yourselves, as each person is the architect of their own happiness, because a journey of thousand miles begins with a single step. This year, we have changed the format of our show and, together with the Belarusian Skating Union and our general partner Belagroprombank, we present to you the new ice show ‘In Search of the Christmas Star’.
Dear friends, let us all journey together into a world of miracles and Christmas tales. I wish each of you happiness and good health. Do sports and lead a healthy lifestyle, fare well in school and cherish strong friendships! I wish you all the very best to! Once again, happy holidays!” Viktor Lukashenko said.
Participants and guests were transported into a world of captivating adventure, unlocking magical doors to the realm of Belarusian mythology. Following the celebration, all children received sweet gifts from the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.
Writer and director of the Olympic Christmas Tree show: Magic is all around!
“The key objective of this project was to offer our audience a dream. Its ultimate message is simple: nothing is impossible, and good inevitably triumphs over evil. Magic surrounds us. Each of us is a wizard in our own life, capable of achieving much. That is the heart of our performance,” stated writer and director Tamara Sufrunkova.

The production featured 107 figure skaters, including winners of the Best Athletes Cup in Figure Skating Ekaterina Andreeva and Dmitry Blinov.
The ice theatrical show In Search of the Christmas Star is a fairy tale on ice inspired by Belarusian folklore. It is part of the annual Olympic Christmas Tree show program run by the Belarusian NOC. It features Belarusian figure skaters and artists – students of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts.
Aliaksandr Bahdanovich, Chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation, came today with his family - his wife Yekaterina and son Timur - and shared his impressions.
“We traditionally attend the Olympic Christmas Tree event. Previously with the older son, now with the younger one. Ahead of the Winter Olympics, the show’s theme couldn’t be more fitting. Thanks to the NOC of Belarus for delighting our kids and creating a real New Year’s magic for them.
Olympic medalist and Chairwoman of the Belarusian Cycling Federation Natallia Tsilinskaya came to the event together with her daughter Katya and son Misha.
“The show is great, and it’s even better that the athletes put it on themselves. Fantastic. The kids are thrilled, and the gifts they got were really cool. Thanks for such a wonderful event,” said Natallia Tsilinskaya.
For many years now, the general partner of the NOC of Belarus, Belagroprombank, has supported the Olympic Christmas Tree show, helping to create a truly magical atmosphere of sport, joy, and inspiration for children and adults.

This year, the partnership became even more special: Belagroprombank not only supported the event but also provided gifts for the winners of the intellectual quiz that took place before the start of the ice show.
