Today on February 13 the Belarusian figure skating duo and cross-country skiers take part in the Competitions Day 1 of the European Youth Olympic Festival 2017 in Erzurum.

Cross Country Skiing 5 KM. Girls

Valeryia Davydzenka came 19^thin 15:14.1 min (+1:24.8).

- That’s been a hard, though catching race. The track is complicated and high-hilled, a 750-metres elevation took much energy to overcome it, - said Davydzenka.

The other two teammates showed the following results:

Sviatlana Andryiuk became 20th (15:14.2; +1:24.9), Veranika Padaliak finished 21^st (15:14.3; +1:25.0).

The race became a triumph for Slovak Anja Mandeljc (13:49.3) and Russians Elena Kucheva (14:04.9; +15.6) and Aleksandra Trofimova (14:17.3; +28.0).

Cross Country Skiing 7.5 KM. Boys

Tsimur Laskin finished 11th (18.58.8); Mikalai Lukyanau came 15th (19.13.4); Aliaksandr Tseliuk placed 21st (19.26.2); Yahor Shpuntau did not complete the distance.

- The Youth Olympiad 2016 in Lillehammer was much harder than the Erzurum 2017 regarding the opponents' conditioning and their quantity. However,the sprint's got passed on the elevation, therefore it's been more difficult to ride it. I wish I could perform better, but in general I am satisfied, - noted Laskin.

Gold medal went to Finnish Miska Poikkimaki.

Figure Skating Short Programme. Girls

Hanna Paroshyna completed performance sixth (42,49 points). Russian Alina Zagitova spearheaded the standings (58,30 points).

Medalists will be determined upon the results of Free Skating on February 15.

Figure Skating Short Programme. Boys

Yakau Zenko scored 54.08 points and placed 5th. Russian Petr Gumennik is first in ranking (67.56). Free Skating event on February 15 at 15.30 p.m. will decide the winner.
