Dzinara Alimbekava wins Women’s Pursuit in Ufa

Dzinara Alimbekava of Belarus won the 10km Women’s Pursuit at the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Cup in Ufa on 14 March.

One of the leaders of the Belarusian women’s national team made two penalties to finish in 28:13.8. Irina Kazakevich was second. Bronze went to Kristina Reztsova.

“I am glad with my victory. I can't say there will be no more fourth places, but everything worked well today. I did particularly well in the standing position,” said Dzinara Alimbekava.

Iryna Leshchanka of Belarus placed fourth. Yuliya Kavaleuskaya came in 17th, Adelina Sabitava 24th, and Darya Kudayeva 34th.

The Russian Biathlon Union Cup completed with two mass starts on 16 March.
