Condolences on the death of Vladimir Makei

President of the NOC of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko extended heartfelt and deepest condolences to the family and friends of Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei in connection with his sudden death.

"We are deeply shocked by the news of the death of Vladimir Makei.

Throughout his career, Vladimir Makei was known as a true professional and patriot who faithfully served his Motherland, who made a huge contribution to the strengthening of Belarus’ positions in the international arena, and who always firmly defended the interests of our country in the world, including in terms of the Olympic movement.

Once again, on behalf of the staff of the NOC of Belarus and personally, I extend sincere words of sympathy and support in connection with your loss," Viktor Lukashenko said in the message of condolences.
