Belarusian president sends 35th anniversary greetings to NOC of Belarus

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko extended greetings to the team of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus on the 35th anniversary of the NOC’s founding.

This date is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our glorious history of the Olympic movement in independent Belarus,” the message of greetings reads. “Over the past years the NOC has made a significant contribution to the development of high-performance sports, the promotion of mass physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle, and the strengthening of international sport ties.

The head of state noted that the team of the National Olympic Committee, guided by the principles of friendship, respect, and fair play, consistently defends the interests of Belarusian athletes and advocates for fair decisions regarding their participation on the world stage.

I am confident that your organization will continue to serve as a hub for those who hold the Olympic ideals close to their hearts, and who are ready to work selflessly for the sake of the Motherland,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.

The president wished everyone peace, goodwill, prosperity, successful competitions, and new achievements.
