Belarus women’s squad overmatched the Swiss team in the qualification game for the IHF World Women’s Handball Championship 2017 and obtained quota for participation.

The game with the Swiss was played in the Minsk sports palace “Urucca”. The meeting turned to be more exhaustive than the previous opening match with the Turkish rivals (37:23). The Swiss offered serious resistance, however, after the break they were overwhelmed by hosting team of Belarus with the score 35:27 (17:15). Another game of Turkey with Kosovo resulted in the victory of the former 36:18 (15:10).
The tournament ranking is as follows: Belarus – 4 points, Switzerland – 2, the Republic of Turkey – 2, Kosovo – 0.
On December 4, Belarus plays with Kosovo, while the Swiss and Turkish clash for another berth in play off.
