Belarus’ track and field team give top class performance in Kazan

The third day of BRICS Games 2024 in Tatarstan was all about athletics.

Champion titles were secured by Viyaleta Skvartsova (triple jump), Tatsiana Khaladovich (javelin throw), Aleh Tamashevich (shotput), Viachaslau Skudny (1,500m), and the women’s 4x100m team of Karyna Salaviova, Lizaveta Tretyak, Yanina Lutsenka and Elvira Hrabarenka.

In addition to five golds in athletics, Belarus won 13 silver and 19 bronze medals in artistic swimming, rowing, artistic gymnastics, wushu, weightlifting, badminton and karate. Team Belarus goes second in the BRICS Games 2024 medal standings.
