Belarus secure medals at 2023 IWF World Junior Weightlifting Championships

Yahor Papou of Belarus won bronze at the 2023 IWF World Junior Weightlifting Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico

In the 67kg event the Belarusian took second place in the snatch with a total of 136kg, and fifth in the clear and jerk with 158kg. His 294kg in total secured him the bronze medal.

Gor Sakhayan from Armenia won the event lifting a total of 305kg.

Belarus’ Yahor Hrynko placed fifth in the same event with 289kg.

Katsiaryna Yakushava (64kg) won gold in the snatch, lifting 96kg. She failed in clear and jerk, receiving a zero mark.
