Belarus’ sabre fencers conquered bronze medals of U23 European Championships 2017

The sabre quartet of Belarus were awarded the bronzes of the U23 European Championships 2017 taking place in the Minsk Palace of Sports.

The foursome of Darya Andreyeva, Hanna Ivanishchanka, Palina Kasperovich and Alisa Utlik surpassed the Polacks 45:42 and lost to the Turkish squad 40:45. In a duel for the third place Belarus was stronger than Italy - 45:43.

Darya Andreyeva performed quite nice, the winning point belonged to Palina Kasperovich. The team of Turkey prevailed over the French 45:38 in the final event.

It is a single award for Belarus at the tournament. In foils they were fourth, having lost to the French. The Championships end on April 25.
