Presenting the annual review, NOC President Viktor Lukashenko underscored that through proactive and consistent collaboration with international sports organizations and following the election of IOC President Kirsty Coventry, a constructive shift has occurred in the international sports agenda. This shift has enabled tangible progress toward reinstating Belarusian athletes in global competitions and has led to the resumption of comprehensive Olympic Solidarity support.

In parallel, the NOC is engaged in substantive preparations for the 2026 Winter Olympics. Close coordination with the Games’ organizing committee is established, and the accreditation process for all potential Olympians has been successfully completed.

Among the most important projects of the NOC of Belarus in 2025 is the sports and cultural festival Vytoki, which took place in Postavy, Vitebsk Oblast, in June. In collaboration with the national federations, 30 sports venues were organized. A total of about 10,000 people participated in the 2025 festival.

The NOC of Belarus also upheld its tradition of holding the Olympic New Year Tree celebration, which took the form of an ice show this year.

The Executive Board approved the annual results and future plans of the NOC’s standing committees. It also reviewed proposals and extended the provisional recognition of several sports federations by one year, until 31 December 2026: the Belarusian Kickboxing Federation, the Belarusian Hand-to-Hand Combat and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, the Belarusian Gorodki Sports Federation, the Belarusian Armwrestling Federation, the Belarusian Pankration and Mixed Martial Arts Federation (which develops grappling), and the Federation of Equipped and Classic Powerlifting.

Additionally, the provisional recognition of the Belarusian Fire and Rescue Sports Federation and the Belarusian Draughts Federation was extended for five years, until 31 December 2030.

Other matters pertaining to the organization’s current operations were also reviewed.
