The jury for the 2025 National Olympic Committee Awards of the Republic of Belarus convened today.

Prominent athletes, coaches, sports industry leaders, and media representatives discussed the most significant sporting achievements of the year and voted for the best athletes, whose names will be announced at the end of December.
“The National Olympic Committee Awards of the Republic of Belarus, this year’s very anticipated sporting event, will honor winners across five categories: Best Male Athlete, Best Female Athlete, Best Team, Best Coach, and Breakthrough of the Year. It is a kind of sports Oscar, where we will celebrate the best athletes and fully showcase the facets of their skill and character. The Award committee meeting concluded today, where the jury reviewed and discussed all applications submitted by our federations in Olympic sports. And believe me, there were quite a few. We have so many top athletes and worthy candidates, so identifying the best of the best is a very challenging task. The discussion was productive, substantial, and engaging. The voting results and the winners will be announced in December,” said Press Secretary of the Belarusian NOC Polina Ignatenko.
“The athletes voted for today have already proven everything to everyone: they are the best, they are winners. This award is a confirmation of the recognition of their efforts and aspirations; their hard work and victories have been duly celebrated at home. I believe this is very important. The commission includes many athletes and people connected to sport in one way or another. This makes the recognition even more valuable,” noted four-time Olympic champion Darya Domracheva.
“The idea of the award reflects the realities of today. We have reviewed a large number of applications. In my opinion, this award should be held every year,” said Pavel Bulatsky, Director of the Belarus 5 TV channel. “Belteleradiocompany will support this project, and we will broadcast the award ceremony during prime time on 31 December, before the president’s New Year address.”
The award ceremony will be held at the Falcon Club Arena on 24 December.
The National Olympic Committee Award of the Republic of Belarus was established to honor the contributions of athletes and coaches to the Olympic movement and high-performance sports. Its goals are to promote the nation’s top athletic achievements, stimulate professional excellence, and celebrate the year’s sporting results.
