Aliaksei Alfiorau won the EUBC Elite Men Boxing Cup 2023

The men's European Boxing Confederation Elite Men Cup has ended in Budva (Montenegro). The gold medal of Belarus was brought by Aliaksei Alfiorau, who became the strongest in the weight category up to 86 kg.

In the preliminary round, he was stronger than Ukrainian Nikita Gorbatenko, in the quarterfinals – Eldar Guliyev from Azerbaijan, in the semifinals Alfiorau defeated Armenian athlete Rafael Hovhannisyan, and in the decisive battle – Russian Vadim Shcheblykin.

ladzislau Smiahlikau (92kg), Dzianis Salotskikh (54kg) were eliminated at the 1/4 finals stage. Ilya Vorobyov (up to 57 kg), Artur Tuniyeu (60kg), Dzmitry Dziashkevich (63.5kg), Aliaksandr Radzionau (71kg) failed to overcome the barrier of the opening round.

In total, more than 150 athletes from 30 countries took part in the competition and won medals in 13 weight categories.
