Alexei Grishin was born on June 18, 1979 in Minsk.
In 1984 he picked up artistic gymnastics, but shortly Alexei turned to skiing.
Since 1995 he has been in the position of athlete-instructor of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus.
He made his first appearance at the World Cup 1997.
In 1998 Alexei Grishin earned the title of Master of Sport. In 2001 he acsended himself to the Honored Master of Sport.
In 2001 Grishin became the world champion in skiing.
He is a bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City in 2002 and a two-time silver awardee in 2000 and 2002. Grishin also has a bronze of the World Cup 2004.
Alexei Grishin is the champion of the XXI Olympic Winter Games Vancouver 2010.
