Victoria Azarenka plays for the third time in her career at the US Open final

The final match in women's singles was held at the US Open in New York. Belarusian sportswoman Victoria Azarenka had straight set loss to Naomi Osaka from Japan - 6:1, 3:6, 3:6. Victoria Azarenka at the start of the first and second sets got the advantage in the score, breaking the opponent's serve, but couldn’t fully seize the initiative.

For the Belarusian tennis player’s career, the final at the U.S. Open, one of the most prestigious in the Grand Slam series, is the third one.

In 2012 and 2013, Victoria Azarenka won twice at another Grand Slam tournament, the Australian Open, and twice in those years, playing in the playoffs in New York.
