The results of the Belarusian athletes performance at the XXIII Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.

Cross-Country Skiing

Among the Belarusian Olympians in PyeongChang, cross-country skiers Yulia Tikhonova and Polina Seronosova were the first to toe the starting line. According to the results of the 7,5km x 7,5km skiathlon event, Yulia Tikhonova finished 42nd (44:57.1), while Polina Seronosova made it 46th (45:34.9).

The gold medal was taken by Swede Charlotte Kalla (40:44.9), Norway's Marit Bjoergen took silver 7.8 seconds behind and Finland's Krista Parmakoski won the bronze.

Biathlon

The today’s biathlon sprint race is over. Darya Domracheva showed the best result of the whole team. It took her 21:52.4 minutes (+46.2; 2 penalties) to cross the finish line with the 9th overall result.

The other Belarusian women’s team results are as follows:

Iryna Kryuko – 17th place (+1:11.2; 1);

Nadzeya Skardzina – 36th place (+2:01.6; 3);

Nadzeya Pisareva – 52nd place (+2:22.9; 2).

Germany’s Laura Dahlmeier clinched the gold (21:06.2), Norway’s Marte Olsbu missed the target once and conquered the silver 24.2 seconds behind. Czech Veronica Vitkova won the bronze (+25.8; 1).

Short Track

Maksim Siarheyeu is a sole representative of the Belarusian short track speed skating team.

Today he took part in men’s 1500m Heat 4 and finished with the 5th result which is 2:15.242. Unfortunately, he failed to qualify for semifinals.

Of all 36 today’s contenders Maksim clocked 28th.

South Korean athlete Lim Hyojun won the gold (2:10.485). Sjinkie Knegt of the Netherlands took the silver (2:10.555), while Olympic Athlete from Russia Semen Elistratov won the bronze (2:10.687).

Speed Skating

Belarus’ Maryna Zuyeva clocked 11th in 4:05.96 (+6.75) in ladies’ 3000m.

All three winning places were taken by Dutch representatives Carlijn Achtereekte (3:59.21), Ireen Wust (3:59.29) and Antoinette de Jong (4:00.02).
