PyeongChang 2018. Our Olympians: SHORT TRACK

TV channel Belarus 5 shot a video about short track in frames of its project "Our Olympians".

The hero of the video is the only Belarusian short track athlete at the Winter Olympics, Maksim Siarheyeu.

Owing to his parents, but just for fun Maksim took up this skating sport. 

However, he was destined to become the Belarusian pioneer in short track at the Olympic Winter Games. 

Maksim Siarheyeu’s debut at the Games in Sochi was far from successful. He became fifth in his race at the preliminary stage and failed to qualify for semifinals. As a result, Maksim got 28th in the final protocol. 

At the Short Track World Cup 2017 in Shanghai Maksim occupied the 30th place in the 1500-metre event. 

The Games in Pyeongchang will be the second Olympics edition he takes part in throughout career, and Siarheyeu is at top of his form for it.
