Olympic Lesson on Knowledge Day

On Knowledge Day, 1 September, the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus hosted an Olympic Lesson featuring teams of school students from all districts of Minsk.

Opening the tournament, Secretary General of the NOC of Belarus Ksenia Sankovich congratulated the children on the start of the new school year and thanked them for participating in the event.

“It is very nice that the traditional Olympic Lesson is taking place on Knowledge Day, 1 September, in the Hall of Olympic Glory of the NOC of Belarus. Children, I hope you had a good rest over the summer and are full of energy and strength for the new school year. Do sports as often as possible, as it does not interfere with your studies but, on the contrary, contributes to development in all areas. I wish you inspiration, patience, and success in the new school year, and also to have a great time at the NOC of Belarus today - a day that, I am sure, will remain in your memory for a long time,” Ksenia Sankovich said.

Winners and prize-holders were determined following the intellectual tournament. Memorable gifts were presented to the participants by the country's first Olympic champion Sergei Makarenko and Chairperson of the Belarusian Olympic Academy Natalya Aponchuk.

1st place: Pervomaisky District
2nd place: Moskovsky District
3rd place: Oktyabrsky District



The Olympic Lesson was organized by the NOC of Belarus and the Belarusian Olympic Academy.
