Head of the Belarusian Judo Federation: we have only a maximum program for obtaining licenses

Head of the Belarusian Judo Federation Pavel Yasenovsky spoke about the prospects of licenses for the Olympics in Tokyo.

The head of the federation noted that Marina Slutskaya successfully performed at the "Grand Slam" tournament in Paris on February 8-9, having won a silver medal. Pavel Yasenovsky said: “The Belarusian fought five fights, winning four fights and having suffered one defeat. She earned so many points in the Olympic qualification rating that she stably gets to the main start of the four-year period. Her teammate Nikita Svirid also wrote down the treasured points. Belarusian judokas prove that they are ready to compete with the leading masters of the "flexible path" from around the world. We do not have a minimum program for obtaining Olympic licenses, only a maximum. "

For Belarusian athletes, the goal now is to earn points in the rating of Olympic qualifications. The next start for athletes will be the "Grand Slam" in Dusseldorf, which will be held February 21-23.

Prizes in these competitions, the stages of the Grand Prix in judo allow athletes to score points in a single world and Olympic rating list. Subsequently, their number determines the entry to the Olympic Games.
