Belarusian shooters shine at European junior championships in Châteauroux

Belarus’ Aliaksandra Piatrova and Katsiaryna Ivanova claimed medals at the European Championship 25m/50m/300m/Shotgun in Châteauroux, France.

Aliaksandra Piatrova scored 32 points to claim the European youth title in the 25m Air Psitol, defeating Germany's Eileen Pitschke by four points.

Katsiaryna Ivanova secured bronze with 24 accurate shots.

Aliaksandra Piatrova, who earlier this year won two silver medals at the European Youth Championship in Croatia (10m air pistol), had previously earned bronze at the senior European Championship and competed at the Paris Olympics.

Belarus's Palina Kastenka narrowly missed the finals by one point, finishing 10th in qualifications, while recent Youth Olympic Festival champion Alina Nestsiarovich placed 13th.
