Belarus to take part in Children of Primorye Games

On 5 June President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko held a working meeting with Governor of Russia’s Primorye Territory Oleg Kozhemyako at the headquarters of the NOC of Belarus.

The parties emphasized the important role of active contacts in sports between Belarus and Primorye for robust cooperation in the Union State.

The delegation of Primorye Territory arrived in Belarus to study in detail the operation of sports infrastructure and Belarus’ expertise in patriotic education of children by the example of the Stalin Line, Buinichi Field Memorial and other memorial complexes.

During the meeting, Viktor Lukashenko and Oleg Kozhemyako discussed the possibility of participation of a Belarusian delegation in the First Summer International Sports Games Children of Primorye scheduled for 1-6 July this year.

Viktor Lukashenko noted that Belarusian and Russian athletes have stepped up contacts lately.

“The Forum for Young Olympians in Moscow once again highlighted the importance of communication between young athletes of the two countries. This communication is now more vibrant, and we remain open for even closer cooperation in sports, physical culture and patriotic education,” said Viktor Lukashenko.
