Belarus’ NOC president congratulates Aryna Sabalenka on Australian Open title

President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus Viktor Lukashenko said that in every match played in Melbourne Aryna proved to be one of the world’s best tennis players.

“Defending the champion title is always much more difficult than clinching it for the first time. You did it in style: you proved to be the best in every match, confirming a high level of the Belarusian national school of tennis,” the message of greetings reads.

Viktor Lukashenko added that victory in the Grand Slam final is a historic achievement and wished this success to be a start to Aryna’s brilliant season.
