Belarus’ delegation off to Moscow for Forum for Young Olympians

On 31 May the Belarusian delegation left for Russia’s capital Moscow that will host the Forum for Young Olympians on International Children’s Day that is marked on 1 June. The forum will be held for the fifth time and will bring together boys and girls aged 14-17. The Big Sports Arena of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex will be the main venue of the forum.

The Belarusian delegation will be represented by young athletes, winners of the Children of Asia Winter Games, as well as young hopefuls competing in rhythmic gymnastics, modern pentathlon, wrestling and swimming. The national Olympic committees of a number of countries have already confirmed their participation in the forum. These are the Republic of Belarus, Armenia, Eswatini, Syria, Gambia, Namibia, Mali, Uzbekistan and Laos.

One of the main tasks of the forum is to support young athletes, to educate them about the values of sport and the Olympic movement and to inspire them to follow these principles; to encourage young athletes to stick to clean sport (without doping) and fair play and to maintain an impeccable reputation.
