Hrodna. Sport for everybody.

On November, 26 – 28, 2009 VI Republican Festival of physical training collectives (with labour force over a thousand people) was held in Hrodna “Sport for everybody”, with a motto “for a healthy life without AIDS and drugs”.
Providers: the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, Hrodna Province Executive Committee, Representative office of NOC Belarus in Hrodna region.
Prinemanski region has deeply rooted traditions in mass physical training activity. Annually the region becomes the venue of the largest sports forums. Final competitions of the Republican sports games of working people, National Summer  Polyathlon Championships, Republican Olympics among the population at the place of residence, in which the best sportsmen from all the regions of the Republic take part are regular events here. For the sixth time the city receives the participants of the Republican Festival “Sport for everybody” among base physical training collectives. The flagships of health and fitness work in their regions took part in the Festival.
On the program of the Festival: the championships in volleyball, swimming, streetball, table tennis, profession skills, field-and-track cross-country and tug-of-war.
The teams from well-known enterprisers took part in the Festival: OJSC “Grodno-Azote”, RUE “Granit” (Brest region), OJSC “Naftan” (Vitebsk region), “Gomel graszhdanproject” (Gomel region), Gomel region), refrigerator-producing plant “Atlant” (Minsk), “Belaz Zhodino”, “Oblgaz” (Brest), RUE “Gomel electroseti”.
