Biography:

Konstantin Lukashik was born on September 18, 1975 in Grodno. At the age of 13, he began to take the first steps in shooting under the guidance of Oleg Pischukevich.

In 1991, Konstantin won the Youth European Championship in shooting in Manchester (Great Britain), and later on the Belarusian athlete became the best at the World Junior Championships in Stavanger (Norway).

After several successful performances by Konstantin Lukashik at the senior European and CIS championships, the head coaches decided to include him in the team for the Games XXV Olympiad in 1992.

On the firing line of the Olympic Barcelona Konstantin Lukashik was on the first day. The Belarusian athlete competed with much more famous, experienced and titled athletes. Despite this, having perfectly shot and gained 658 points, Konstantin Lukashik became an Olympic champion. The whole world applauded this day to the boy of Grodno, who at that time was only 16 years old.

After the Barcelona Games, the athlete continued to compete at various European and world championships, and also participated in the Olympics five more times. In 1996, at the Games XXVI Olympiad, which were held in Atlanta, Konstantin Lukashik stopped a step away from the podium, taking the 4th position.
