YOG 2018. Krystsina Kantsavenka conquered bronze in pole vault

On the eighth day of the III Summer Youth Olympic Games 2018 in Buenos Aires Belarus' pole vaulter Krystsina Kantsavenka became the bronze medalist.

Based on the sum of the results from two rounds - 3.75m and 3.97m - Belarusian pole vaulter Krystsina Kantsavenka was awarded the bronze award. The gold and silver medals went to German Leni Freyja Wildgrube and French Emma Brentel, in turn.

1.       Leni Freyja Wildgrube (Germany) – 8.12

2.       Emma Brentel (France) – 7.82

3.       Krystsina Kantsavenka (Belarus) – 7.72

17-year-old Krystsina Kantsavenka was born in Gomel. Her best season's result is the 3rd place at the Junior World Championship.

In Buenos Aires she works with coach Siarhei Kavalenka.

It is a sixth medal the team of Belarus won at Buenos Aires 2018 (1-2-3), two more medals belong to Belarusian athletes having performed earlier for international mixed teams (1-0-1).
