On the fourth, penultimate, competitive day of the Winter Youth Olympic Festival, Belarusian athletes performed in four sports. On their account - two forum medals. Figure skater Evgeny Puzanov won the bronze, and the hockey team in the match for gold lost to the Czech national team, becoming the silver medalist.
The figure skater Alexandra Chepeleva ranked 12th in terms of the sum of short and arbitrary programs: “It didn’t work out everything I could. I made a lot of mistakes, especially in an arbitrary program. I will work on them and try to fix it. In general, I am pleased with my rentals, but it could have been better. This is still the biggest competition for me, I got a great experience. I will continue to work and try to perform better. I have plans for a performance at the Junior World Championships. ”
Alexandra's coach, Tatyana Shestak, said: “It didn’t work out what we had planned. I want everything to be fine - but this is not always the case. Short Sasha skated well, the mood for an arbitrary was also excellent. Perhaps the psychological aspect worked: this is the first major tournament for her, a lot of fans in the stands, strong rivals. The excitement definitely affected. ”
